The Ladies Senior Foursomes team have completed their first round tie securing a win over Lisburn at Malone yesterday. They now meet Belvoir in the second round.
Malone Ladies were beaten by Greenisland in the All Ireland Fourball Championship. Although the two home pairings secured two hole victories each, the away pairs lost both matches, struggling in exceptionally heavy conditions, and overall the tie was lost on holes.

For the second year in succession Malone Ladies finished as runners up in the Ulster Senior Cup to a strong Royal Portrush team.
In the quarter final the Malone team beat Royal Belfast and went on to a fine victory over Clandeboye in the semi final where Paula Delaney came back from dormie two to win on the nineteenth green and Rachel Scott had a fine win on eighteen supporting Louise Coffey's 4/3 victory.
In the afternoon final (after a short 15 minute break from the morning's semi)Malone put up a great fight against favourites Portrush. Louise Coffey (1) maintained her unbeaten record defeating Charlene Reid (1) 1 up. Jane Gardner (8) produced some tremendous golf only to lose by 1 hole on the 18th to Maura Diamond (3) and Oonagh McClure (8) secured a half with Helen Jones (3).
The entire squad of Louise Coffey, Paula Delaney, Jane Gardner, Oonagh McClure and Rachel Scott can be proud of their achievement Captained so ably this year by Carol Mitchell and supported by a large turnout of Club Members.

Congratulations to the Malone Cowdy Cup Team who competently turned around the lead that Rossmore Golf Club held over them from the first leg. Yesterday, playing at home,the Malone Ladies took the first four matches decisively to seal the victory.
Today Sunday 13th May is a busy day for Malone Teams playing at Malone.
In the men's section the Ulster Fourball Trophy Team is out at 10.44a.m. The Holt Shield is at 11.40a.m. and the Jimmy Bruen tees off at 3.40 p.m.
The Ladies Intermediate Team tees off against Fortwilliam at 2p.m
Tomorrow the Ladies Senior Cup team play Royal Belfast at 10.10a.m.in their quarter final match at Shandon and hopefully we will see them proceed to the latter stages of the competition on Tuesday.
Support for all club teams is very welcome and it is hoped that there will be a good turnout at Shandon for the Malone Ladies Senior Cup Team.
Malone Ladies travelled to Rossmore on Thursday in very wet conditions to play the first leg of their Cowdy Cup match. On a points system which rewards wins on each nine holes Malone are currently trailing 9 points to 15 but remain optimistic with the home match to come on Monday 14th May.

Malone Ladies Junior Foursomes Team are through to the 2nd round of the Ulster Interclub Championship defeating Ardglass with a decisive victory. Leading 3/0 after the first leg, the opening pairing for Malone closed their match on the 12th green leaving Ardglass 4/0 down and the remaining matches were called in. Malone now meet Belvoir Park in the next round.

Malone Ladies Teams have been busy this weekend turning in some excellent results.
The Senior Foursomes team lead Lisburn 2/1 after the away fixture yesterday.
The Minor Cup Team have a 4/1 advantage over Carnalea with the home match to come next week.
The Challenge Cup Team beat Bangor 4/1 at home to complete a first round victory of 6 matches to 4.
